The Division of Campus Life, in the spirit of our annual Homecoming Tradition, is looking for individuals who exemplify the qualities Emory University seeks to instill in all the individuals such as outstanding scholarship, leadership, campus involvement and community service. A true award to recognize significant accomplishment to the spirit of the Emory Community, please consider nominating a student for this award. The nomination process is very simple, and can be found in this email or in the attached document.
Process: Through a nomination, then application and interview with University Administrators, the First Annual Emory University Homecoming Court will be selected. From the Homecoming Court, the student body will have a chance to vote and select two individuals to receive the “Spirit of Emory” Homecoming Award. The following will outline the criteria required for applicants and the material that must be submitted in order to be given full consideration.
Nominations:
Any student organization, student, faculty member, staff member, or University Department may nominate a member of the undergraduate Class of 2010. Emphasis during the review and interview process will be placed on all aspects of the application; academic success, contribution to the community, response to questions during interviews and those who exemplify the spirit of Emory University.
- The final eight nominees will be announced at Wonderful Wednesday, September 23rd.
- All students will be entitled to vote for their final two choices on Thursday, September 24th and Friday, September 25th. The First Spirit of Emory Award will be announced at the half-time show on September 26th, as the culmination of this year’s Homecoming Week 2009.
